failures and solutionsi attempted to sell some prints downtown this weekend. i didn't have much success, which i can attribute to a variety of factors. my vector style doesn't really fit in with the 40-60 year old female demographic. i didn't package them well {it rained tons and i didn't have good sleeves}. our tent wasn't traffic friendly a vast majority of the time. i'm a commercial artist - i suppose i just needed a reminder.
as far as sqeez is concerned, the more i analyze the interface, the more i realize how it's lacking.
it doesn't say hi. it's not friendly. it's not web 2.0. it's not energizing. it's not minimal.
it's much harder to build a framework than to just build towards something that's already truly defined. |

Sqeez is a social network. Human beings need to socialize, we need to connect. We love to share our opinions with others. We do this through a variety of ways, but the Internet allows us to create an identity much larger than life. You need to reach out to the masses, you need to tap into their need to connect with other people. The easier you make the connections, the more people will want to share.
Myspace is a nice way to connect with your friends and your friends’ friends…but it doesn’t go much deeper than that. What happens when you want to connect with someone outside of this circle of friends? Along with the desire to voice our opinions, people love to share information, especially information that is not generally known. The key is bridging the network between a user seeking information and a user looking for someone to share this information with.
DITCH THE GRAY SCALE COLOR THEME ALREADY
besides, we can always fix it later if we fail.
